The job
A 62-day pour on the Highway 290 widening corridor. AJJA was responsible for hot-mix delivery from two regional plants to the active paving train.
Mix temperature on a TxDOT pour is unforgiving — every truck had to land in the right time slot or the load got rejected. We ran a tight rotation of tri-axle and quad-axle rigs, hit the dispatch window on every load, and didn't see a single rejected truck across the project.
18,400 yards moved. Paperwork clean. The PM has called us back for two more TxDOT jobs since.
